This is the 2008 Euro Delivery 135i. Going to Europe for a new BMW is addictive because you are treated so well. Here we are being greeted by the Michelin Man !

The 2008 Euro Delivery BMW 135i, Sarah, Cynthia, and Audrey (not necessarily in order of importance) in France. The grandchildren had a great time.

One of the 100 year-old oaks at Shade Tree Garage coming down. Even oak trees (it was a Chestnut Oak) are not eternal. That was a exciting day!

One of the few 135i's with an '80s Motorola car phone and 'peace' beads!

The Euro Delivery 135i finally arrived back in NC and was greeted with a party to improve it's personality. Pictures are from the 'day after'.
There are now some good traveling tunes ready, including 'One is the loneliest number' by Three Dog Night and 'It's the Little Things' by Robert Earl Keen.
There is a German version of a 'Die Neue BMW 5er' catalog and lots of bumper stickers, a rare wooden BMW shift knob - 'Grip Holz Fest' part number 82 11 9 413 989 (the German translation is roughly 'Keep a firm grip on your wood'), a back window package shelf 'lounge lizard', seat belt cushions, and plenty of wine for celebrating after good road trips!
The AAA license plate bracket is a welcome relief from those clunky credit cards that they send out now-a-days! I also hear that external antennae's get much better reception than those hidden ones. The companion Z3 Roadster (in need of repair) has very small (not small enough) bumper stickers that say "serviced by Shade Tree Garage' and 'Al Taylor for President'
Also, there is a picnic basket and 'BMW 135i' blanket for those special picnics.

This past year (2009), we did another Euro Delivery with Our friends Tom and Carolyn. Here is Carolyn in her new 328xi Touring at the delivery center in Munich.
Cindy and I did another 135i
The Black Forest was especially black that day.
I didn't make this up, I just saw it beside the road.

Gasthaus near Triberg in the Black Forest.

Carolyn's car is stunning!
The 135i is nice also.
In France now, Neidersteinbach.
One of my favorite restaurants in France.
Lost somewhere in Belgium.

We found our way back to France.
Chateau De La Motte was a great place!

We think that we may keep this BMW for a while.
