Track Car Services
The Shade Tree Garage technicians all participate in high speed driver
schools with the BMW Car Club of America and other clubs and are pleased to make
suggestions and prepare your car for the track.
We provide free track inspections for Tarheel Chapter BMW CCA driving schools.
The most important things for track cars are:

Brake Pads - We recommend Akebono Ceramic or PBR metalmaster pads for high
performance track work.

Brake Fluid Flush - We use ATE super blue and amber high
temp brake fluids on all track cars.

Battery location and fixation - Your battery must be located
in the optimum location within the car for proper balance and it
must be securely attached.
- Tires - Tires should have a minimum of 2/32 of tread.
Race compound tires are not required for driving school and are
discouraged in the novice and intermediate classes.
- Struts/Shocks - Your front struts and rear shock absorbers must be in good condition
to provide you control at high speed. There should be no play in your suspension bushings.
