We are not taking on any new customers and are trying to bring things to a good stopping point. It is nice to be able to go out while on the top of our game, but as of April 2025 we have closed our doors for good. It has been an amazing 32 years, but it is time to move on. Most of you have been wonderful and a total joy to work with, many we feel like you are family. We will miss you so much! You made the Shade Tree Garage great and a joy to come to work!

The Shade Tree Garage is an independent BMW service and repair shop that has been building a loyal customer base by offering professional and courteous BMW Service in Raleigh, NC since 1993. We have built our business by keeping your BMW running right at a reasonable price. We now also offer Mini Cooper service as well (they are truly BMW designed and built).
The Shade Tree Garage owner and operator, Truett Ray, has a background in engineering, and has been working on vehicles for more years than he would care to admit. With Shade Tree Garage staff's extensive expertise plus our business ethics, you can trust the quality of work delivered by the technicians at the Shade Tree Garage.
A real plus at Shade Tree Garage is Dietrich Koch. Dietrich operates his own independent business, Automotive Services, located at Shade Tree Garage and brings a wealth of experience and expertise.
Our BMW service technicians at Shade Tree Garage have many years of BMW service experience. We are dedicated to making your BMW last longer and perform like new. We provide all the service your car requires from oil service to major service. We have the experience and equipment necessary to make repairs to electronics, ignition and other systems.

The cows have been gone since the 1980's, but we have converted many of the outbuilding for the purpose of car repair.
